New Building Regulations and Standards has forced air tight housing which has in turn driven a requirement for controlled ventilation systems. If these systems are installed correctly they reduce energy consumption and produce very healthy environment but if these systems are not installed correctly they reduce energy consumption but lead to a very poor unhealthy environment and Builders are concerned about the poor installation practices and the associated problems.

- Implications of installing ventilation systems where combustion appliances exist

- Location of continuous systems

- Commissioning of continuous ventilation systems
- Inspect, test and commissioning (practical)
- Documentation
By the end of this course you will:
- Know the main system types and their requirements
- Understand the importance of the relevant guidance documents
- Understand the commissioning processes

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.
Pre Requisites
This qualification has an expiry of 5 years.
This course will be assessed by a multiple choice open book exam, practical assessment workbook and practical assessment.
How will this course be assessed?

On the day of training, you will also need to bring with you:
- 2x passport sized photographs
- Note taking material (recording devices not allowed)
- A calculator (not part of a smart phone application) which we can provide you with on the day.
