A Year of Growth and Achievement in Telford
As 2025 draws to a close, Teach A Trade is reflecting on a highly successful year of growth, development and achievement across its training provision in Telford, Shropshire and the West Midlands. With over 450 learners trained across electrical, gas and renewable disciplines, the year has marked a significant milestone in the organisation’s continued expansion.
From new entrants taking their first steps into the trades, to experienced engineers upskilling in areas such as Solar PV, EV charging, F-Gas and inspection and testing, Teach A Trade has supported a wide range of learners in progressing their careers and meeting the evolving demands of the industry.
Expanding Facilities, Courses and Delivery
Throughout the year, Teach A Trade has invested in both its facilities and its delivery model to improve access to high-quality training. Key developments have included:
- Expansion of the Telford training centre with additional classrooms
- Introduction of a dedicated inspection and testing facility
- Launch of a realistic Solar PV and battery storage training rig
- Approval to deliver F-Gas Category 1 certification
In addition to centre-based training, the organisation has also expanded into offsite delivery across the West Midlands, bringing courses directly into local communities and workplaces. This approach has improved accessibility for learners and employers alike, ensuring training can be delivered where it is needed most.
Supporting Industry Demand Across the West Midlands
The demand for skilled tradespeople continues to grow across the West Midlands, particularly in areas linked to net zero, housing standards and building compliance. Throughout 2025, Teach A Trade has played an active role in addressing this demand by delivering industry-relevant training aligned with current regulations and employer expectations.
Events such as the Great Green Upskill have also helped to bring together trades, manufacturers and training providers, supporting knowledge sharing and raising awareness of opportunities within the renewable sector.
For many learners, this year has marked the start of a new career. For others, it has provided the opportunity to expand their services and future-proof their skillset in a rapidly changing industry.
A Thank You to Learners, Employers and Partners
Teach A Trade would like to extend its thanks to all learners, employers and partners who have supported the organisation throughout 2025. The continued growth and success of the training centre is a direct reflection of the trust placed in its programmes and the commitment shown by those undertaking training.
Whether you have completed a course this year, are currently training, or are planning to start in the future, your support is valued and appreciated.
